Installing a Eberspacher Heater - SO34.2

As fitted to the single aft cabin version of the Sun Odyssey 34.2

 

Control Panel in aft cabin - good for chilly mornings... however can be knocked by feet - thermostat is wired through the hanging locker with the sensor at forward side of Navigators seat.

 

Main burner located in starboard-side lazarette. Mounting uses the factory fitted reinforcement for quadrant autopilot. Note fuel metering pump installed at very bottom of picture.

 

Photo above shows first "Y" joint and closeable vent installed in aft cabin bulkhead above mattress level.

Great for warm toes.

 

Eberspacher dip stick installed in tank near main fuel shut-off valve. Due to wall thickness of the polypropylene tank the extra length thread version is required when ordering. Note PTFE tape on threads to stop diesel "creep".

 

Alternatively put on a diesel resistant sealant - before getting diesel on threads!
